Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Public Sector Medical Universities Vice Chancellor Jobs 2026 must fulfill the following requirements:
Education
Applicants should possess an MBBS degree (minimum second division) or an equivalent qualification. They must also hold higher qualifications such as FCPS, MD, MS, or another equivalent qualification in clinical subjects, or a PhD in Basic Medical Sciences from an institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
Professional Experience
Candidates should have served as a Professor for at least ten years in a medical institute or university recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
Applicants must also have at least twenty published research papers in recognized medical journals approved by the Higher Education Commission and the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
Age Limit
The applicant must not be more than 70 years of age on the last date for submission of applications.
Terms and Conditions
The selected Vice Chancellor will be appointed for a four-year non-extendable term and will serve during the pleasure of the Chancellor.
The selected candidate will not be allowed to hold any paid or unpaid academic, administrative, advisory, honorary, or organizational position during the tenure.
The Vice Chancellor may undertake academic and clinical assignments within the university and its affiliated hospitals only for academic purposes.
Private medical practice inside or outside the university premises is not permitted during the tenure.
Additional terms and conditions of appointment will be issued separately by the competent authority.
